David Malan began his career in 2006 as a leg-spin bowler as well as a left-handed batsman. In 2005-06, he began playing for Boland and the MCC Young Cricket Association in South Africa. Later, on July 7, 2006, he was redirected to Middlesex and made his debut for Kings XI Punjab.
